PVR INOX has announced that two horror flicks Roman Polanski's Rosemary's Baby (1968) and John Krasinski's A Quiet Place (2018) is set to re-release on October 30, on the occasion of Halloween.
"India has always had a deep fascination with horror as a genre. We have grown up listening to fantastical tales, folklore, and stories of the supernatural, making the unknown and the unexplained an intrinsic part of our cultural imagination. Bringing back two exceptional films that have defined fear on the big screen in very different ways to PVR INOX is therefore extremely exciting. Audiences love these films; while Rosemary’s Baby draws you into a world of psychological unease and creeping paranoia, A Quiet Place keeps you on the edge of your seat with its ingenious use of silence and suspense. Through our Halloween curation, we want audiences to rediscover the thrill of these iconic films in our theaters. Their magic is timeless," said Niharika Bijli, Lead Strategist, PVR INOX Ltd.
Rosemary's Baby (1968) features a cast consisting of Mia Farrow, John Cassavetes, Ruth Gordon, Sidney Blackmer, Maurice Evans, Ralph Bellamy, Patsy Kelly, Angela Dorian, and Charles Grodin. The film follows a mother who suspects that something sinister is surrounding her life.
Meanwhile, A Quiet Place (2018) is the directorial debut of John Krasinski and follows the Abbott Family who have to survive in a world, plagued by aliens who are sensitive to sound. Emily Blunt, Milicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe star in the film.
Krasinski is currently filming the third instalment in the franchise.
