The White Lotus actor Brittany O'Grady is joining hands with filmmaker Greg Yaitanes, known for House of the Dragon, for an upcoming thriller titled State of Emergency. Yaitanes is directing the film from a script by Nick Luddington.
With the film scheduled to begin shooting in 2027, it is produced by Infrared Pictures and Curiosity Media. The film stars O'Grady as Jenna, who works as a Boston 911 emergency dispatcher and is haunted by the death of her teenage brother. During an overnight shift, Jenna starts getting calls about strange incidents at a mysterious event in Boston Harbour. As the threat nears the dispatch centre, it is discovered that Boston will become the hotbed of catastrophe.
O'Grady was recently seen in A House of Dynamite, helmed by Kathryn Bigelow. Her upcoming films include Jumanji: Open World and Green Bank. Yaitanes, meanwhile, has also directed Presumed Innocent and House, with his recent works being Lucky, Dutton Ranch, and Spider-Noir.
