Actors Emily Carey, of House of the Dragon, and Lio Mehiel, of After the Hunt, are set to front the new neo-Western feature Camino. Beso and Pucci Productions are backing the project, which is written and directed by debutant Annabella Fazio.
The makers in an official release described Camino as a "Lyrical, tactile neo-Western exploring themes of identity, masculinity and escape, set against the backdrop of a gritty Western." The film follows two people who forge a capricious connection as the line between loyalty and betrayal blurs. Mehiel plays the role of Ifa, a cowboy navigating identity and survival, while Carey will star in the role of a mosaic artist, Ellie.
Alice started off as a child artist portraying the younger versions of Diana Prince and Lara Croft in Wonder Woman (2017) and Tomb Raider (2018), respectively. They were last seen in a voice role in The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep and Misper (2025). Their upcoming films include Walk With Me, Oddly Flowers, and Stray. Their credits include the Netflix series Geek Girl (2024) and HBO's House of the Dragon (2022). Meanwhile, Mehiel is known for their roles in Mutt (2023), In The Summers (2024), and Luca Guadagnino's After the Hunt.
