

The Devil Wears Prada 2 has opened in theatres to a mighty response, 20 years after the first film released and became a cult classic among audiences. With Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt basking in the glory of their box office run, the cast members recently discussed the possibility of the third film in the franchise.
Meryl Streep, 76, said that the script has to be perfect for a possible return to the 3rd part of the franchise, according to People magazine.
Emily Blunt concurred, "A good script. It's all about the script".
Echoing thie statements, Anne Hathaway said, "And then, everybody has to say yes."It's got to be the core four (the three actresses plus returning cast member Stanley Tucci)."
Apart from Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) and Andrea Sachs (Anne Hathaway), Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), Nigel (Stanley Tucci), Lily (Tracie Thoms) and Irv Ravitz (Tibor Feldman) have reprised roles for the sequel.
Directed by David Frankel and Aline Brosh McKenna after working together on the original, the newcomers for the sequel, besides Lucy Liu, include Kenneth Branagh, set to play Miranda’s husband, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, BJ Novak, Pauline Chalamet, Rachel Bloom and Patrick Brammal.
Broadway talents Helen J Shen and Conrad Ricamora, along with comedian Caleb Hearon, are also featuring in the sequel. Lady Gaga, Donatella Versace, Law Roach and many others from the fashion world also made their cameos in the film.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 opens at a time when media has undergone vast changes -- notably the decline of the print medium. The tables have turned and Emily is now at a powerful position in the industry and Miranda finds herself in loggerheads with her former assistant as she controls the the advertising budget Miranda urgently requires.
