Writer and director Joseph Sperberg's political murder mystery Behind Closed Doors goes on floors with its star cast announcement.
The film, starring Elijah Reed (Doom Patrol), Christian Haines (Law & Order), Nick Samson (Poser), Melissa Alce (Matlock), and Charrell Mack (The Pitt), began production in Los Angeles.
Behind Closed Doors marks Sperber's feature debut, following his live-action short film Let Us Play, which was an official selection at the LA Shorts International Film Festival.
Set in 1979, the film follows a wounded federal agent (Haines) collapsing into his reclusive neighbour's (Samson) apartment. The routine night spirals into a nightmarish standoff, blurring loyalties and prompting compromises on secrets. Galileo Mondol, of Pretty Problems fame, and Carlos Lopes, of Overtime Hustle fame, are producing Behind Closed Doors, alongside Aaron Schmidt. The film has Martin Taube as the director of photography.
