Vin Diesel is best known for his roles in the Fast and Furious and XXX franchises, among other films. For fans of Marvel Cinematic Universe, the actor is most easily recognisable as the voice behind the character Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy, some of the Avengers films, and Thor: Love and Thunder. "I Am Groot," is pretty much all he says in the films, but the character is quite popular among MCU fans for the eccentricity he brings.

Perhaps, this is why Vin Diesel shared on Instagram a Groot illustration, where he can be seen towering over another character that seems like Iron Man. Describing Groot as "The Arbor King," Diesel shared a tribute to his Knockaround Guys (2001) co-star Dennis Hopper. Diesel wrote, "I had the great pleasure of working with Dennis Hopper in Knockaround Guys. I was reflecting on a quote of his “Create or Die”… Such an authentic artist’s perspective. Whether it’s a Tree, or an infamous New York Detective… The Riddick Universe or the Fast Saga… you’ve always been there… thank you. You inspire me more than you know…"

Interestingly, Vin Diesel's post has triggered some speculation about his potential involvement in the Russo Brothers' upcoming MCU film, Avengers: Doomsday. According to some fans, the post suggests that the actor comes back to the Avengers franchise as Groot.

Interestingly, the speculation comes hot on the heels of The Beyond Reporter claiming that Groot is not part of the upcoming Avengers film.

The film's producer, Marvel Studios is yet to confirm Diesel's involvement in it as Groot. He is not part of the recent cast announcements from the studio. That said, while the announcements also did not mention some of the other popular MCU characters, recently, the speculation about Chris Evans' return as Steve Rogers turned out to be true. This is to say, Groot may find his way back to his MCU roots.
