As Michael is set to hit theatres soon, actor Colman Domingo talked about how the film pays homage to Michael Jackson's daughter, Paris. Speaking to WSJ Magazine, he said, “I hope that Paris Jackson eventually loves the tribute that we made about her father." This is not the first time Domingo, who portrays Joe Jackson, the father of Michael Jackson, in the film, spoke about the movie and its connection to Paris Jackson.

In September, he asserted in an interview with People Magazine that Paris Jackson had been ''very supportive'' during the production of the Michael Jackson biopic, helmed by Antoine Fuqua. However, in response to his statement, Paris posted on her Instagram story, ''Colman Domingo, don’t be telling people I was ‘helpful’ on the set of a movie I had 0% involvement in. Lol that is so weird.”

She also clarified, “I read one of the first drafts of the script and gave my notes about what didn’t sit right with me, and when they didn’t address it, I moved on with my life.’’ She added, “Not my monkeys, not my circus. God bless and God speed.'' However, recent reports suggest that Paris criticised her father’s upcoming biopic for being ‘’sugar-coated,’’ she also added that the film carries a ''full-blown lie''.

Produced by Graham King, the biopic is set to be released on April 24 in theatres.
