Actor Michael Gandolfini is set to join the ensemble cast of Everything Everywhere All at Once-fame Daniels and Matt Damon's upcoming untitled film. Gandolfini joins Damon, Sandra Oh, Charles Melton, and Sean Kaufman. The film will release in theatres on November 19, 2027.
Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, aka Daniels, are directing and writing the film backed by Universal Pictures. Having worked on music videos, short films, and TV series, The Daniels made their feature debut with Swiss Army Man (2016) and Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022), which swept the 2023 Oscars. Of the Daniels duo, Scheinert has individually directed I'm Nostalgic (2007), Trust (2008) and The Death of Dick Long (2019).
Meanwhile, Damon was last seen in The Rip, which was written and directed by Joe Carnahan, alongside Ben Affleck. He will next be seen as Odysseus in the epic fantasy action The Odyssey, directed by Christopher Nolan. The adaptation of Homer's Greek epic of the same name, is set to hit theatres on July 17.
