Hot Spot 2 Much-fame Ashwin Kumar's next film was launched on Thursday with a ceremony, with Tamil film personalities in attendance. Also starring Jayaram, the upcoming film has been titled Good News announced the makers.
Nagendra Murugan, who has previously worked as an associate of director Pandiraj, is making his directorial debut with Good News. Director Vijay called the ceremonial first shot, with director Bala switching on the camera. Actor Arya also attended the ceremony as a special guest.
The cast of the upcoming film includes debutant Kalyani Anil, Asha Sarath, Muthukumar, Jaffer, Kuraishi, Deepa, Vinothini, Divya, and Manimegalai, among others.
Siddhu Kumar is composing music for Good News. The crew of the film also includes cinematographer Praveenkumar, editor Arjune Babu, and art director Karthickvasan.
Saivinoth Jayakumar is producing the film under his Movietron Production banner. Saiprabhu Jayakumar is serving as a co-producer along with LM Dhanasehar on board as the executive producer.
Ashwin Kumar, who has been part of Enna Solla Pogirai (2022) and Sembi (2022), was last seen in Hot Spot 2 Much. Meanwhile, Jayaram recently reunited with Urvashi in Parimala and Co.
