Following the announcement of Matt Damon leading the next film of filmmaker duo Daniels, aka Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, it is being widely speculated that Sandra Oh is circling to co-star with Damon. The untitled film is set to debut in theatres on November 19, 2027.
Widely known for her Emmy-winning role in Greys Anatomy, Oh, was last seen in the Lionsgate comedy Good Fortune, in which she starred opposite Keanu Reeves. Her acting credits include Killing Eve, Turning Red, The Chair, Arliss, Sideways, and Raya and the Last Dragon.
Having worked on music videos, short films, and TV series, Daniels made their feature debut with Swiss Army Man (2016) and Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022), which swept the 2023 Oscars. Although little is known about the new project, Daniels and Jonathan Wang will produce the film under their banner, Playgrounds.
Matt Damon, meanwhile, was last seen in The Rip, written and directed by Joe Carnahan, opposite Ben Affleck. He will next be seen as Odysseus in the epic fantasy action The Odyssey, directed by Christopher Nolan. The adaptation of Homer's Greek epic is set to bow in theatres on July 17, 2026.
