The Margaret Qualley and Callum Turner-led supernatural thriller Possession is expanding as Madeline Brewer (The Handmaid's Tale), Emory Cohen (Marty Supreme) and Nicholas Alexander Chavez (General Hospital) join the cast. We previously reported that Paul Dano and Diego Calva are part of the upcoming film.
The 1981 original centres around a woman who displays increasingly disturbing behaviour after seeking a divorce from her husband. However, things start spiralling into more than just a fallout due to infidelity. With Qualley and Turner set to play Anna and Mark, respectively, in the remake, the film is written and directed by Parker Finn.
With The Handmaid's Tale being her popular work, Brewer was also seen alongside Kyle Chandler and Phoebe Dynevor in Anniversary, and the fifth and final season of Netflix's You, opposite Penn Badgley. Cohen starred as Ira Mizler, with his last appearance being Timothee Chalamet-led Marty Supreme. Chavez was a part of the acclaimed Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story and Grotesquerie.
Finn is producing Possession with Jonathan Fass under their Bad Feeling banner, alongside Robert Pattinson, Roy Lee and Andrew Childs under the Vertigo banner.
