Dylan Douglas, son of actors Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones, is set to make his feature debut in the upcoming action-thriller Killing Hitler. The film, directed by Danny A Abeckaser (The Perfect Gamble), is based on true events that follow a group of Jewish mobsters who tried to assassinate Hitler in 1933.
The official logline of the film states that it follows the plot hatched by two notorious Jewish-American gangsters to kill Adolf Hitler in Berlin in 1933. The film is set to focus on the conflict between the FBI and gangsters as the agency foils the lawbreakers from changing the course of history. The story is set to be told through the perspective of the lead character, whose early years will be portrayed by Douglas and later years by Arquette.
The film is based on Professor Robert Rockaway's article titled The Jewish Plot to Kill Hitler. Rockaway also wrote the novel, But He Was Good to His Mother: The Lives and Crimes of Jewish Gangsters.
Douglas will star alongside Abeckaser, David Arquette (Scream), Harry Goodwin (The Gentleman), Greg Finley (The Secret Life Of The American Teenager), Graham Sibley (Lincoln), and Lorenzo Antonucci (Ice Cream Man). Rounding out the cast are Eli Massillon, Stephen Huszar, Gary Pestone, Jeremy Luke, Sharon Azrieli, Aki Avni, and Alexis Ephron.
Sagi Wolf and Abeckaser, under the banner 2B Films, will produce Killing Hitler.
