The other day, Warner Bros shared its upcoming release calendar, which includes some major projects slated to hit theatres in the near future. One of the Warner Bros films that will hit theatres later this year is director JJ Abrams' The Great Beyond, starring Glen Powell and Jenna Ortega. Also featuring actors Emma Mackey, Sophie Okonedo, Samuel L Jackson, and Merritt Wever, The Great Beyond is slated for a November 13 release.
The other Warner Bros films that are part of its release calendar are slated to hit theatres next year. These include director Tim Miller's yet-to-be-titled film, starring Keanu Reeves, which is due on August 13, 2027. Miller is directing the film, reportedly titled Shiver, from an Ian Shorr screenplay, and its plot reportedly follows a smuggler whose job entails dealing with sharks, pirates and dead bodies, all within the confines of a time loop.
Also part of the 2027 slate is filmmaker Sam Esmail's Panic Carefully, which is scheduled for a February 26 release. The film, written by Esmail of Mr Robot fame, also stars Julia Roberts, Brian Tyree Henry, Eddie Redmayne, Ben Chaplin, Joe Alwyn, Aidan Gillen, Elizabeth Olsen, and Naledi Murray.
On the other hand, director Rodrigue Huart's The Conjuring: First Communion is expected to have a September 10, 2027, release. The film from franchise producer Peter Safran and Atomic Monster has been gaining much buzz for it serves as a prequel to the Conjuring franchise, which has become the highest-grossing horror franchise of all time. The makers are yet to reveal details about the plot of the film, written by Richard Naing and Ian Goldberg, including whether Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson's characters are returning to it.
