Netflix’s upcoming golf-themed comedy series starring Will Ferrell has added two more names to its cast. Gabe Hogan and Aida Osman have signed on for recurring roles in the yet-untitled show, which marks Ferrell’s first foray into a scripted comedy series for television.

The 10-episode series centres on Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins, a larger-than-life fictional golf legend played by Ferrell. Hogan and Osman join an ensemble that already includes Molly Shannon, Jimmy Tatro, Fortune Feimster, Chris Parnell, Katelyn Tarver, David Hornsby and Luke Wilson.

Hogan will appear as Jerry, the personal trainer to Lance, Lonnie’s son, while Osman will play Crystal, a close childhood friend of Lance. Tatro essays the role of Lance, a highly skilled professional golfer, with Tarver portraying his fiancée Natalie, a social media influencer who is unfailingly supportive of his career.

The series also features Shannon as Stacy, Lonnie’s sharp-tongued ex-wife; Feimster as Sam, a new caddie who could turn out to be a lucky charm; Parnell as Anton, an abrasive member of the PGA Tour board; Hornsby as Radford, a wealthy Southerner romantically involved with Stacy; and Wilson as a rival golfer who has defeated Lonnie twice at the tour championship.

Behind the scenes, Ferrell executive produces the project alongside Jessica Elbaum and Alix Taylor under the Gloria Sanchez Productions banner. Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman and Nena Rodrigue are attached as executive producers through T-Street, with Chris Henchy, Harper Steele, David Gordon Green and Andrew Guest also serving as executive producers.

Hogan was most recently seen in the Canadian series Heartland, where he played Peter Morris. He is also known for his role as Ike Crystal in TruTV’s Tacoma FD, appearing across all four seasons. His television credits further include Warehouse 13, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., NCIS, Teen Wolf and Raven’s Home.

Osman made her television debut as a lead in Issa Rae’s HBO Max comedy Rap Sh!t, playing Shawna Clark, and has also appeared in Hulu’s Ramy. In addition to acting, she has worked extensively as a writer, serving on the writing team for Rap Sh!t and contributing to Netflix’s Big Mouth and HBO’s Betty.
