After winning a Golden Globe for his performance in The Studio, Seth Rogen gave an update for the second season of the series. At the ceremony, Rogen revealed that the second season of the show will begin production in a week, reported Deadline.

Rogen created the show along with Evan Goldberg. Rogen and Goldberg also serve as writers, directors, and executive producers on the show. The Studio premiered on Apple TV on March 26, 2025. It was renewed for a second season in May 2025.

In The Studio, Rogen stars as Matt Remick, the new head of Continential Studios,  who is deeply passionate about films and has been chasing a job like this his whole life. The series follows the daily battles Remick fights as he tries to navigate the industry and keep his job.

The cast for the first season includes Catherine O'Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz, and Chase Sui Wonders. The first season also featured several guest stars which included Martin Scorsese, Bryan Cranston, Olivia Wilde, Ron Howard, Steve Buscemi, Greta Lee, Anthony Mackie, Zac Efron, Rebecca Hall, Josh Hutcherson, Dewayne Perkins, Jessica St Clair, Johnny Knoxville, and Zoe Kravitz.
