Finn Wolfhard teased his involvement in a future project in the IT franchise, in a recent interview. Wolfhard's breakthrough came with Stranger Things, where essayed the role of Mike Wheeler. He portrayed Richie Tozier in IT (2017).
While the first season of IT: Welcome to Derry, ended recently, it also revealed certain connections to the IT films, with the Wolfhard's character also making a photographic appearance. While speaking to Esquire, Wolfhard revealed that he knew about Tozier's appearance in 2021. The actor also teased that, "there’s something else that will come up eventually that I’m excited for people to see."
Director of IT (2017) and IT: Chapter Two (2019), Andy Muschietti, developed IT: Welcome to Derry, along with his sister Barbara. The first season is currently streaming on JioHotstar.
Stranger Things recently ended, with the final episode premiering on Netflix on January 1.
