Earlier this Thursday, Netflix dropped the official trailer for its upcoming film Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, directed by Tom Harper. The trailer begins with Rebecca Ferguson's character letting Cillian Murphy's Tommy Shelby know about the repercussions of his past deeds. "Tommy, you live in a house haunted with ghosts of people who died because of you. You abandoned your kingdom, and you abandoned your son," she says. Soon, we see Barry Keoghan onscreen; Keoghan reprises his role from Peaky Blinders season 6 as Shelby's illegitimate son Duke, who takes over the topmost position in the world of gangsters from his father. As Sophie Rundle's character Ada Shelby tells Tommy Shelby, Duke is "running the Peaky Blinders like it’s 1919 all over again."

Elsewhere, a brooding Tommy Shelby says, seemingly referring to his son, "I can't help him because I'm not that man anymore."

Enter Tim Roth, a Fascist sympathizer, who asks Duke Shelby if he can betray his own country to help Germany win the war. Elsewhere, Duke Shelby says, "The world don’t give a f*** about me, and I don’t give a f*** about the world."

And elsewhere, Stephen Graham's character Hayden Stagg tells Tommy Shelby, "I’ve heard you decided this wasn’t your war," only for the latter to confirm that it is his war to wage.

Soon, we see Tommy Shelby go into the Peaky Blinders ring in search of his son. However, few are ware of Shelby's legacy. "Who the f*** is Tommy Shelby?" someone asks while some others hide for cover. Murphy's character replies, saying, "Perhaps someone should explain to him who I am." An explosion follows, with the visual of Shelby standing behind fire.

The film picks up from the events of the last season of Peaky Blinders. "Once, I nearly got f****** everything, but nearly doesn’t count," Shelby says. The Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man trailer ends with the Shelbys, the father and son, having a drink.

Directed by Harper from a Steven Knight screenplay, the film is slated for a limited theatrical release on March 06 before its global premiere on March 20 release on Netflix.
