Actor Mark Ruffalo stars in the upcoming film Crime 101, reuniting him with his Avengers co-star Chris Hemsworth. Director Bart Layton's film also stars Barry Keoghan, Halle Berry, Monica Barbaro, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Nick Nolte, and Corey Hawkins. Recently, as part of a promotional interview for the film, Ruffalo confessed to committing a crime. Before making the revelation in a conversation with IGN, the actor quipped, "Will there be any cops watching, do you think? You promise there won't be?"

Then, he said that he drove a car in Los Angeles with a suspended license for 13 years and "with a bench warrant out" for his arrest. The revelation brought a surprise reaction from his Crime 101 co-star Berry.

Funnily enough, the fact that he had a suspended license made him drive so cautiously as not to get caught. "I became the best driver in LA; I never broke a law because I was too afraid I would get busted."

Mark Ruffalo also revealed that he fixed it after it came to his wife's notice and she threatened to break up with him. "I need to be with someone who is serious about life, and you, you are not even taking care of the fundamentals," the actor's wife told him. He said that he confessed to the crime to a judge and paid the penalty for it to get himself out of trouble. Hearing this, Berry quipped about how it ensured that Ruffalo had his marital life intact. Referring to the incident, Berry said, "Kept your wife," eliciting a nod of acknowledgement from her co-star.

Interestingly, Ruffalo plays a detective in pursuit of a jewel thief (Hemsworth) and his partner (Berry) in the upcoming film, which is based on Don Winslow's critically acclaimed novella Crime 101. The film is slated for a February 13 release in theatres.
