With only a few weeks to go for the release of Scream 7, Paramount has released a new trailer during the Super Bowl which shows Ghostface in his new murder spree, this time more bloodier and scarier. Sidney Prescott is back and comes in front of the killer many times and is haunted by the memories of the past as she struggles to defeat the murderer before death comes to the close ones around her.
The plotline reads, "When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realised as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all."
Besides Neve Campbell, the film will see the return of Courtney Cox, David Arquette, Matthew Lillard, Scott Foley, Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown. New actors entering the franchise are: Isabel May, Michelle Randolph, Joel McHale, Anna Camp, Mckenna Grace, Ethan Embry, Mark Consuelos, Jimmy Tatro, Celeste O’Connor, Asa Germann and Sam Rechner. Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega, who were part of the previous films, will not be returning to the franchise.
Writer of Scream (1996), Kevin Williamson has returned to the franchise to direct the film. Williamson has written the screenplay for the film along with Guy Busick, from a story by Busick and James Vanderbilt. Spyglass and Paramount Pictures are backing the film. Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett and Chad Villella are executive producers.
Scream 7 is set for release in theatres in India on 27th February 2026.
