Hollywood continues to pay respect to legendary actor Catherine O’Hara, who passed away the other day. The latest to pay homage to the late actor are Martin Short and Steve Martin. They paused their show The Best of Steve Martin and Martin Short and raised a glass in honour of the Home Alone and Schitt's Creek star.
"Catherine O’Hara, I met when she was 18 years of age, and all these years later, she has been the greatest, most brilliant, kindest, sweetest angel that any of us worked with," Short said as he stood beside Martin. As he raised a toast, he went on to add, "So god bless Catherine." A massive picture of the late actor was shown right behind Martin and Short as they were standing on the stage.
Their tribute came hot on the heels of O’Hara’s passing on Friday after a brief age-related health issue. Back then, CAA, the actor's agency, confirmed the news about her demise at her Los Angeles residence. She was aged 71 years at the time of death.
O’Hara's frequent collaborator and longtime friend, Short met the late actor as they worked on a sketch comedy show titled Second City Television. On the other hand, Martin collaborated with her on director Gillies MacKinnon's 1994 film A Simple Twist of Fate.
