Randeep Hooda is backing the release of Jason Statham's film Mutiny as its presenter in India for PVR Inox. Ahead of the film's August 21 release, Hooda appeared in a video on social media for the exhibitor chain and spoke highly of the upcoming film, directed by Jean-François Richet.
“There is one thing in action films: you always know who the good guy is and the bad guy is. But what happens when the entire world is against you? That's what makes Mutiny interesting,” says Randeep Hooda in the video. Speaking further about the film, Hooda adds, “Jason Statham plays a man who witnesses the murder of his billionaire boss, and suddenly, he is the one being blamed for it. So now he has to run, fight, survive, and at the same time figure out what is going on.”
Hooda also expressed his admiration for Statham, the action hero, and said that his character in Mutiny will not "sit back and take it”.
The actor also noted that what draws him to films such as this is that there are personal stakes integrated into the stories.
“Mutiny has that mix of high-octane action, conspiracy, and survival, and Jason Statham right in the middle of it. So if you enjoy a good action thriller, this is definitely the one to watch,” Hooda signs off.
Randeep Hooda has not acted with Jason Statham in a film as of yet. However, he has featured in the Chris Hemsworth starrer Extraction franchise.
Coming back to Mutiny, the film also stars Annabelle Wallis, Roland Møller, Adrian Lester, and Arnas Fedaravicius, among others. Besides starring in the lead role, Statham has also produced the film along with Marc Butan.
