Netflix has announced that Ben Affleck's next directorial venture, Animals, is set to premiere on the platform on October 9. The streamer also release the teaser of the film, which also features Affleck and Kerry Washington in lead roles.
In Animals, Affleck and Washington stars as Mark and Abigail Kimball, the mayoral candidate of Los Angeles and his wife, respectively. When their son is kidnapped the Kimball's find themselves drawn into a dangerous conspiracy, that draws a high cost for the pair.
The cast of Animals also include Gillian Anderson, Steven Yeun, Adriana Paz, Luis Gerardo Méndez, Ray Fisher, Mark Kassen, and Christopher Woodley.
Affleck produces Animals alongside Matt Damon and Dani Bernfeld under the Artists Equity banner. Meanwhile, Brad Weston and Collin Creighton are producing under the Makeready banner along with Fifth Season.
Connor O McIntyre and Billy Ray has written the film along with Affleck.
