A24 has released the official trailer for the upcoming biographical psychological thriller, Primetime. The upcoming film is directed by Lance Oppenheim and is set to release in theatres in India on September.
In Primetime Robert Pattinson stars as Chris Hansen, a real-life US TV show host who sets up sting operations to catch child predators. The trailer hints at the film's story, chronicling the rise of Hansen's show from late night television to prime time television, gaining him unprecedented popularity.
The cast of Primetime also includes Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, Phoebe Bridgers, Matthew Maher, and Bokeem Woodbine, with Anna Faris.
For Oppenheim Primetime is his first scripted feature film. He directs from a script by Ajon Singh. Pattinson also produces the film along with Hereditary (2018) director Ari Aster, among others.
Primetime will have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September.
