

DC Studios' upcoming series based on Jimmy Olsen, who was played by Skyler Gisondo in James Gunn's Superman (2025), has added Mary Holland to the cast. Holland, who was recently seen in Netflix's Little House on the Prairie, has starred in Veep, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Ghosts.
Holland will play a character called Sandra alongside Gisondo who reprises his role as the investigative reporter Jimmy Olsen. Gisondo's character is a regular character featured in the Superman comics, who works alongside Clark Kent and Lois Lane in The Daily Planet.
Also starring in the series is Jimmy Tatro, who will be the villain of the first season, Gorilla Grodd. The series is marketed as a mockumentary-style true crime series, hosted by Jimmy Olsen, and his encounters with psychic and powerful, Gorilla Grodd.
The upcoming series is created by Tony Yacenda and Dan Perrault, who have previously created American Vandal. Yacenda and Perrault will also be showrunners, and will serve as executive producers alongside DC Studios' co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran. The former wrote and directed Superman (2025), the first feature film in DC's new slate of films and series.
Up next, Lanterns will be the first live-action series from DC Studios, based on the Green Lantern Corps from DC Comics. Lanterns will premiere on August 17, on JioHotstar.
