The makers of filmmaker Sara Driver's upcoming feature The Odd Enchantment Of Madam P, which recently wrapped production in northern Portugal, announced that the film stars Maria de Medeiros (Pulp Fiction), Emily Beecham (Little Joe), Trine Dyrholm (Queen Of Hearts), Alex Descas (Irma Vep), Tom Austen (Django series) and Mathieu Amalric (The French Dispatch). They are joined by Aurelia Thierree (Goya's Ghosts), granddaughter of Charlie Chaplin, Albano Jeronimo (Remains Of The Wind), Luke Eberl (Marfa Girl 2), Edgar Morais (Remains Of The Wind), and Orion Lee (First Cow).

The Odd Enchantment Of Madam P marks the fourth directorial feature from Sara Driver, whose credits include You Are Not I (1981), Sleepwalk (1986), and When Pigs Fly (1993). She returns to directing feature films after over three decades, with her last directorial being a documentary: Boom for Real: The Late Teenage Years of Jean-Michel Basquiat (2017).

The film follows Madame P, a renowned opera singer, who retreats into a world where "dreams and reality blur freely" after surviving a mass shooting. She settles for a mundane life in a medieval mansion, supported by a close friend, before two American outsiders arrive at the doorstep with "good intentions".

Kamen Velkovsky, Atilla Salih Yucer, Rodrigo Areias, Amanda Livanou, and Konstantinos Kontovrakis are producing the film.
