Joe (Seth Rogen) and Angela (Olivia Wilde) are a married couple experiencing a rough patch in the trailer for A24's The Invite. Also helmed by Olivia Wilde, the comedy film is penned by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack.
The trailer shows the married couple inviting Pína (Penelope Cruz) and Hawk (Edward Norton) over to their house. While things seem pleasant at first, the situation soon turns into a humorous yet confusing dynamic between the two couples.
The Invite had a premiere at the Eccles Theatre at the Sundance Film Festival this year, on January 24, and received positive reviews from critics. Ben Browning, Megan Ellison, and David Permut have produced the film under the Annapurna Pictures, FilmNation Entertainment and Permut Presentations banners.
Distributed by A24, The Invite is slated to hit theatres this summer, with an exact release date yet to be announced by the makers.
