
The makers of Duane Edwards's directorial, Laura Louise, made the cast announcement of the film on Tuesday. Accordingly, Corbin Bernsen, of Your Friends and Neighbors fame, Denise Sanchez, of Bosch: Legacy fame, Patrick Mulvey, of The Girlfriend Experience fame, Gilbert Owuor, of Emancipation fame, Kristen Bush, of Paterno fame, and Campbell Krausen, of Ghostlight fame.
Bernsen had two releases this year: Marshmallow and Tow. Some of his popular acting credits include Psych, three Major League films, The Resident, The Curse, General Hospital, and Cuts.
Laura Louise follows a retired postal worker, Edward Brannock (Bernsen), who finds himself in the middle of a reopened missing girl's case. With fresh evidence surfacing, Brannock goes through immense scrutiny and is forced to safeguard from inconvenient family secrets that were long under wraps. Laura Louise will be made based on an original screenplay by Edwards' Wrong Numbers collaborator, Frederick Mensch.
The film, which Edwards will produce and direct, will begin production in Northern Illinois.
