Netflix has released the new trailer for the upcoming comedy drama Jay Kelly. The film is written and directed by Noah Baumbach and is set to premiere on Netflix on December 5.
Baumbach, who nominated for an Oscar, most recently, for his work on Greta Gerwig's Barbie (2023), has written the script along with actor Emily Mortimer. Amy Pascal is producing the film under her Pascal Pictures, along with David Heyman, who is producing the film under his Heyday Films. Baumbach also serves as a producer.
George Clooney stars in the titular role alongside Adam Sandler as his manager, Ron. The rest of the cast of Jay Kelly includes Laura Dern, Billy Crudup, Riley Keough, Grace Edwards, Stacy Keach, Jim Broadbent, Patrick Wilson, Eve Hewson, Greta Gerwig, Alba Rohrwacher, Josh Hamilton, Lenny Henry, Nicole Lecky, Thaddea Graham, Isla Fisher, and Mortimer.
The story of the film centres around Jay Kelly, who has had a long and stellar career, when he starts to experience an existential crisis. His daughter departure to Paris, inspires him to go on a tour along with his long time friend and manager, Ron (Adam Sandler).
