Sean Penn was the latest amongst the people who spoke about Charlie Kirk. Penn was recently seen in One Battle After Another, which released in theatres on September 26.
Speaking to The New York Times, Penn believed that Kirk was necessary to promote open discussions on political issues. "We need that debate. We have got to fight it out and find that compromise. Instances of political violence do come out in fashion, and the way we kill the fashion of it is if people of conscience on both sides (of the political divide), recognise that if somebody really believes something, that's your friend," said the actor.
Kirk was an American conservative commentator who was assasinated on September 10, while he was speaking at a college campus in Utah, USA. His death sparked various conversations about political discourses across the world.
One Battle After Another also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Benicio Del Toro, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Chase Infinti, and Alana Haim. The film was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, who made the film based on Thomas Pynchon's novel, Vineland.
