The cast of Angelina Jolie-starrer Anxious People is expanding as Stephanie Allynne, Jessica Gunning, Joanna Scanlan, and Carol Kane join the film. Oscar nominated writer David Magee has written the script for Anxious People, which he adapted from Fredrik Backman's 2020 novel of the same name.
Anxious People will be directed by Marc Forster, who has directed World War Z and A Man Called Otto. The former is a zombie flick, which stars Brad Pitt in the lead. The latter is a drama, with Tom Hanks portraying the titular character. Forster and Magee are serving as executive producers along with Neda Backman. Fredrik Wikstrom Nicastro and Renee Wolfe are producing the film. Hope Studios and 2DUX2 are backing the film.
Aimee Lou Wood, who was recently seen in the fourth season of The White Lotus, is also starring in Anxious People. The film will follow a bank robber, who takes a group of strangers, which includes investment banker Zara, hostage. The robber goes awry as the nothing goes to plan.
Gunning is known for her role as Martha in Netflix's Baby Reindeer.
