Quentin Tarantino will return to acting, as he joins the cast of Only What We Carry. Simon Pegg, Sofia Boutella, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Lizzy McAlpine, and Liam Hellmann also join the film, reported Deadline.
Only What We Carry is written and directed by Jamie Adams, who last release was She Was Love, starring Haley Bennett and Marisa Abela. Star Hellmann is producing the film along side Charles Benoin, and Jouri Smit. The film wrapped recently in Deauville, France.
McAlpine is an American singer, who is known for her songs 'Ceilings', 'You Could Start A Cult' which also features Niall Horan. She makes her acting debut with Only What We Carry.
The story of the film centres around Julian Johns (Simon Pegg), an instructor, whose student Charlotte Levant (Sofia Boutella) returns to face her past. Joining their quest are Johns' old friend John Percy (Quentin Tarantino), Charlotte's sister Josephine Chabrol (Charlotte Gainsbourg), Vincent (Liam Hellmann), an artist on edge, and Jacqueline (Lizzy McAlpine), a dancer whose presence weighs down on the group as existential thoughts.
Though Tarantino has been making cameo appearances in his directorials and several other projects, his last major starring role in English was in Robert Rodriguez's From Dusk Till Dawn. Tarantino starred as Richie Gecko, the robber, in the film.
