The makers of the upcoming drama Bugonia, starring Emma Stone in the lead, has released a trailer for the film. Bugonia is directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, and is set to release theatrically on October 31.

Lanthimos directs Bugonia from a script written by Will Tracy. Lanthimos is also producing the film alongside Stone, Midsommar's director Ari Aster, Lars Knudsen, Miky Lee, and Jerry Kyoungboum Ko. Bugonia is based on the Korean film Save The Green Planet!, which was directed by Jang Joon-Hwan, and was released in 2003.

Apart from Stone, the cast of Bugonia also includes Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone.

The story of the film follows two conspiracists (Jesse Plemons and Aidan Delbis), who kidnap a high-powered CEO (Emma Stone) of a major company, believing that she is an alien who is destroying Earth.

Bugonia is the fourth collaboration between Stone and Lanthimos after The Favourite, Poor Things, and Kinds of Kindness.
