

At the Marrakech film festival, Jodie Foster reminiseced about working with Robert De Niro on Martin Scorsese's Taxi Driver (1975). For their performances in the film both Foster and De Niro were nominated for Oscars.
Speaking to the audience at the festival Foster said, "Maybe you would have been here, when Robert De Niro was here. One of the greatest American actors, so proud to have worked with him, not the most interesting person. And at that time he was very much in character, as he was in those days, so he was really uninteresting."
The 1975 film, followed the a lonely New York City taxi driver Travis Bickle, who has to grapple with his crippling mental state, as he work nights in the city.
The cast of the film also includes Cybill Shepherd, Harvey Keitel, Peter Boyle, Leonard Harris and Albert Brooks. Paul Schrader who wrote Taxi Driver also collaborated with Scorsese on Raging Bull.
