

Following its limited theatrical run earlier this year, director Luca Guadagnino's After The Hunt is set to release on Prime Video on November 20, Thursday. The film stars Julia Roberts as a college professor who grapples with an important decision when one of her students (Ayo Edebiri) makes an allegation against her colleague (Andrew Garfield). Subsequently, a dark detail about her past life threatens to resurface. Guadagnino has directed the film from a Nora Garrett screenplay. Also starring Chloë Sevigny and Michael Stuhlbarg, the film with an R rating had its global premiere at the recent Venice Film Festival.
According to reports, it only grossed about $5.50 million at the global box office, way below its reported budget of between $70 and $80 million.
Reportedly, Guadagnino and Roberts have been tapped for this year's Gotham Awards Visionary Tribute at the upcoming Gotham Film Awards. According to its organiser, the Gotham Film and Media Institute, the aforesaid tribute acknowledges "groundbreaking collaborations that push the boundaries of storytelling in film."
Meanwhile, Guadagnino is set to reunite with Amazon MGM Studios following After The Hunt for his AI film Artificial, starring Mary Rylance, Garfield, Monica Barbaro, Yura Borisov, Billie Lourd, Cooper Koch, Jason Schwartzman, Ike Barinholtz, and Cooper Hoffman.
