Streamer Prime Video dropped the first official trailer for its upcoming comedy film Oh What Fun, starring Michelle Pfeiffer in the lead role. Director Michael Showalter’s film stars Pfeiffer as a matriarch named Claire Clauster, whose family leaves her alone as they go on a holiday trip, forcing her to have her own impromptu adventure. “As her family scrambles to find her, Claire discovers the unexpected magic of a Christmas gone off-script,” reads the official description. The ensemble cast also includes Felicity Jones, Denis Leary, Chloë Grace Moretz, Dominic Sessa, Devery Jacobs, Danielle Brooks, Havana Rose Liu, Jason Schwartzman, Maude Apatow, Joan Chen, and Eva Longoria.
Showalter has directed the film from a screenplay he has written alongside Chandler Baker, based on Baker’s own story. The film has a song ‘Shake The Snow Globe’ by Grammy winner Gwen Stefani. She has written the song for a particular moment in Oh What Fun. Speaking about it, Stefani said, “It made me nervous, excited, and inspired to take on the challenge of creating a Christmas song that feels up tempo, nostalgic and reflects the sentiment of the movie.”
Oh What Fun is slated for a December 03 release on Prime Video.
