Ariana Grande has officially completed filming for Focker-in-Law, the upcoming chapter in the Meet the Parents franchise, slated to hit theatres on November 25, 2026.
The pop icon marked the wrap with an emotional Instagram post, giving fans a glimpse of her character, Olivia Jones, for the first time. Sharing behind-the-scenes photos featuring Ben Stiller, Beanie Feldstein, Skyler Gisondo, and Eduardo Franco, Grande wrote, “These past few months have been so, so unimaginably special. I love my Fockers, and I love my Byrnes… so, so very much. I will miss this bunch terribly. See you next November!”
Details about her role are still tightly under wraps, but early buzz suggests Grande’s character will bring a fresh dynamic to the long-running comedy series.
Ben Stiller, who returns to both star and produce, recently praised Grande’s performance. Speaking to E! News, he said, “What’s surprising, and maybe not really surprising, is how amazingly she blended in. She’s such a pro, so funny, and so talented, obviously as a singer, but she was also amazing in Wicked. What she’s doing in this movie is very unique, and we’re having a great time working with her.”
Written and directed by John Hamburg, Focker-in-Law serves as the fourth film in the hit comedy franchise that began with 2000’s Meet the Parents. Robert De Niro and Blythe Danner will reprise their roles as Jack and Dina Byrnes, alongside Teri Polo as Pam Byrnes. There’s still no confirmation on whether Barbra Streisand will return as Roz Focker; the actor recently revealed frustration over being paid less than her male co-stars in the earlier films.
Beyond Focker-in-Law, Grande has a packed year ahead. She stars as Glinda in Wicked: For Good, will embark on a 2026 world tour for her album Eternal Sunshine, and voices a character in the upcoming animated adaptation of Dr Seuss’s Oh, the Places You’ll Go!
