
Krysten Ritter is back as the denim-clad detective Jessica Jones in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again. The announcement was made at Disney's Upfronts Presentation as Ritter appeared on stage with Charlie Cox, who plays Daredevil.
Ritter first appeared as Jessica Jones in the first season of the eponymous show, back in 2015. Playing a burnt-out, superpowered detective, she reprised the role for two more seasons and in 2017's The Defenders. With Jessica Jones, The Defenders also had Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, and Finn Jones as Danny Rand/Iron Fist.
Season one of Daredevil: Born Again recently concluded on JioHotstar with nine episodes. With Cox as Daredevil, the series saw the return of Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher, and Wilson Bethel as Ben Poindexter/Bullseye. The rest of the cast includes Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki James, Genneya Walton, Michael Gandolfini, and Ayelet Zurer.
Daredevil: Born Again is created by Dario Scardapane, Matt Corman and Chris Ord, with Scardapane as the showrunner. Scardapane, Corman and Ord serve as executive producers with Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Sana Amanat, Chris Gary, Justin Benson, and Aaron Moorhead. Season two of Daredevil: Born Again is set to premiere in 2026.
