We had reported last year that director Matt Routledge's conspiracy thriller The Awakening went on floors.
The latest update is that actor Kevin Spacey has come on board the film. This development is after his acquittal of sexual abuse charges.
Spacey joins Peter Stormare, of John Wick: Chapter 2 fame; Alice Eve, of Men in Black fame; Julian Grover, of Game of Thrones fame; Steve Berkoff, of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo fame; Eddie Hall, of Expendables 4 fame; Matt Hookings, of Prizefighter fame; and the newcomer Justin Tinto.
The Awakening is about Jason (Tinto) and Rebecca (Eve) racing against time to save the world after uncovering a conspiracy to control the world.
The Awakening is produced and financed by Camelot Films and Tinto. Tinto has also co-written the film with Routledge and Matt Hookings. The film is now in the post-production stage.
Editor Chris Gill, cinematographer Laszlo Bille and stunt choreographer Luke Tumber are part of the film's technical crew.
