A24's Materialists, starring Dakota Johnson in the lead, had its new trailer unveiled recently. The film is directed by Celine Song and stars Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal in the lead.

The story of the film follows Lucy, an ambitious New York City matchmaker who is torn between a man she considers a perfect match and John, her ex, an imperfect person, whom she reconnects with. The new trailer for the film features a voiceover that is reminiscent of trailers of early 2000s romcoms.

The rest of the cast of the film includes Zoe Winters, Dasha Nekrasova, and Louisa Jacobson.

Celine Song is known for directing and writing 2023 's Past Lives. The film was nominated at the 96th Academy Awards ceremony for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.

Materialists is produced by Christine Vachon and Pam Koffler of Killer Films and David Hinojosa of 2AM Studios. The film is set to be released on June 13.
