We recently reported that actors Anthony Michael Hall, Thomas Dekker and Nicholas Hamilton joined the star cast of Shane Dax Taylor's horror comedy Halloween Store.
The latest update from the makers is that the casting has been completed with the onboarding of Lindy Booth, Sydney Park, Grace Van Dien, Jorge Lendeborg Jr and Drew Ray Tanner. The actors will be joining the trio mentioned above, Kai Caster and the headliners, Simon Rex and Natalie Lind.
Written by Chad Law, Josh Ridgway and Taylor, the film follows a group of people trapped inside a costume store on Halloween night with a mysterious killer on the run.
Booth is cast to play Claudia, a popular girl in the town, a prom queen and wife of Wes (Rex). Charming yet ruthless, Claudia enters the market again to make her presence felt. Her prim and perfect exterior is not a reflection of her heart that holds grudges and seeks revenge. Park plays Zoe, a talkative friend of Amy (Lind) and Shriek Shack's worst employee. An ardent fan of horror, Zoe is taken off guard when the nightmares become real. Van Dien plays Heather, a girl whose company everyone dies for. She is confidence personified and makes heads turn whenever she enters. Heather is famous for giving it back not just by words but also by actions. Lendeborg Jr's Julio, a soft-spoken employee of Shriek Shack, has to rise to the occasion when terror strikes the store and possibly make it a bid to Zoe to get into a relationship after multiple turndowns. Riverdale's Tanner is a quirky security guard, who is always on the top in the fashion game. But on D-day, it takes more from him than his fashion sense.
Kenan Thompson and John Ryan Jr will serve as executive producers under their Artists for Artists banner. Other executive producers are Steven Schneider, Taylor, John Lind, and Bradley Sloan. The film will be produced by Natalie Lind, Kenneth Burke, and Audrey Romanyuk under the AFA, Big Bad Pig Productions, and Racer Entertainment banners.
