
The Big Bang Theory and The Flight Attendant actor Kaley Cuoco has signed up to star in an upcoming series titled Vanished, alongside Valkyrie actor Matthias Schweighofer, Peaky Blinders and The Hunger Games star Sam Claflin, and Cesar awardee Karin Viard.
The official plotline reads thus: "When a romantic getaway to Paris takes a dark turn with the sudden disappearance of her boyfriend Tom (Claflin) aboard a train to the south of France, Alice (Cuoco) is plunged into a web of intrigue and danger, uncovering shocking secrets about the man she thought she knew."
Barnaby Thompson of Pixie fame is directing the series, which is set to commence production in Marseilles and Paris in late April. The series reunites the director with his Pixie screenwriter Preston Thompson, who also serves as a creator alongside David Hilton.
Cuoco's credits include Based on a True Story and The Flight Attendant. She received Critics Choice, Golden Globe and Emmy award nominations for her work in The Flight Attendant.
Claflin also earned a nomination at the Golden Globe Awards for the series Daisy Jones and the Six. His upcoming projects also include the series Lazarus.
On the other hand, Schweighofer's acting credits include Army of the Dead, Girl You Know It’s True, and Oppenheimer. Schweighofer has also produced, acted in, and directed You Are Wanted and the Army of the Dead prequel Army of Thieves.
