After Young Sheldon and Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage, the next spinoff in The Big Bang Theory universe is set around Stuart, named Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, reports Deadline. Kevin Sussman who plays Stuart, joined the original series in its second season, in 2009.

Stuart Bloom, Sussman's character, was a comic book store owner whose store was frequented by Sheldon, Leonard, Howard, and Raj. He also had a brief romance with Penny, who left him after a mishap on a romantic night out. He is shown to share an all-inclusive knowledge about comic books, fantasy novels and artwork. He is said to have completed art school, and we see him making art in The Big Bang Theory.

The Big Bang Theory alums like Lauren Lapkus, who played Stuart's love interest Denise; Brian Posehn, who played the geologist Bert; and John Ross Bowie, who portrayed Sheldon's rival Barry Kripke.

Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is produced by Warner Bros. Television. It is created and written by Chuck Lorre, who also serves as an executive producer under his Chuck Lorre Productions banner. Zak Penn and The Big Bang Theory co-creator also serve as writers and executive producers.
