Warner Bros. is currently in discussions with Jonah Hill, who is considering taking on the roles of lead actor, writer, and director for their upcoming film, Cut Off. The film revolves around two affluent siblings who find themselves estranged from their parents.

As the project is in its preliminary stages, no additional casting details have been released. Filming for Cut Off is tentatively scheduled to begin this summer.

Cut Off would mark Hill's third directorial venture. His previous works include Mid90s, released by A24, and the forthcoming Apple film, Outcome, starring Keanu Reeves, Cameron Diaz, Matt Bomer, and Hill himself. Outcome, produced by Hill's Strong Baby production company alongside Matt Dines and Ali Goodwin, is expected to premiere later this year.

Outcome is a comedy crime drama which follows the story of Hollywood celebrity Reef, who is forced to deal with his past when a strange video from his past threatens him.

Hill also directed the critically acclaimed Netflix documentary Stutz, which explored the relationship between Hill and his therapist. The documentary featured open discussions about mental health and the escalating anxiety attacks Hill experienced during movie promotion, which transformed his career into a source of distress.

Hill has received two Academy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actor, for his performances in Moneyball and The Wolf of Wall Street.
