Following the successful release of Tulsa King season 2 in September last year, which saw it become the most-viewed Paramount+ series premiere worldwide, the streamer has renewed it for a third season. Production on Tulsa King season 3 is underway in Oklahoma and Atlanta, announced the series' streaming service provider. Sylvester Stallone is reprising his role of a crime boss in the upcoming season. On the other hand, Dave Erickson is set to be the new showrunner of Tulsa King. Earlier, Terence Winter stepped down as its showrunner after its first season, although he return as the writer of season two. Winter and lead director Craig Zisk's names are missing from the announcement for the upcoming season of Tulsa King. Jim McKay is one of the directors of the upcoming series.
Tulsa King showrunner Erickson and creator Taylor Sheridan are also collaborating on the thriller series Mayor of Kingstown, starring Jeremy Renner. Sheridan has also created the Paramount+ series Lioness, 1923, and Landman in the pipeline.
The cast of Tulsa King also includes Jay Will, Dana Delany, Andrea Savage, Max Casella, Garrett Hedlund, Martin Starr, Annabella Sciorra, and Vincent Piazza. The makers are yet to announce a release date for Tulsa King season 3, but it is reportedly expected to debut by the end of the year.
