
A blue monster is set to wreck havoc in the alien world as well as on Earth. The first trailer of the live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch offers a peek into the story of an alien who escapes from an another planet and jets his way into Earth. Parallely, a young girl Lilo, who wishes for a friend is greeted by the extraterrestrial being. After the initial fears, the duo become inseparable as he brings joy and light into her life. Directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, their story is set to unfold on screens on May 23, 2025.
Sanders, who co-directed the original 2002 film, is reprising his voice role of Stitch. The other members of the cast include Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Sydney Elizebeth Agudong as Nani and Kaipot Dudoit as David Kawena. Zach Galifianakis, Billy Magnussen, Courtney B Vance and Hannah Waddingham are part of the supporting cast along with Tia Carrere, Amy Hill and Jason Scott Lee who were a part of the original.
Camp directs the new film from a script by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright. The original animated feature was written and directed by Chris Sanders along with Dean DeBlois in their feature directorial debuts and produced by Clark Spencer, based on an original story created by Sanders.
