Legally Blonde prequel Elle cast June Diane Raphael in key role

After finding its Elle Woods, Legally Blonde prequel series Elle, June Diane Raphael joins the Prime Video series as Eva, Elle Woods' mother. Eva Woods is a polished and pragmatic person, who works to keep a picture-perfect outlook, according to Deadline.

Legally Blonde (2001), starred Reese Witherspooon as Elle Woods, who decides to pursue law when her ex-partner undermines her. Alongside Witherspoon, Luke Wilson, Ali Larter, Jennifer Coolidge, Matthew Davis, and Selma Blair.

Prime Video's Elle is created by Laura Kittrell, who serves as a showrunner with Caroline Dries. Kittrell and Dreis are executive producers on the series with Reese Witherspoon, Lauren Newstadter, and Marc Platt. Amazon, MGM Studios, and Hello Sunshine produce the series. Jason Moore, who directed Pitch Perfect and Shotgun Wedding, is set to direct the first two episodes of the series. Lexi Minetree is set to star as Elle Woods in the series.

June Diane Raphael is known for her roles in New Girl, Grace and Frankie, Zodiac, and Abbott Elementary. She will be seen in Weapons alongside Josh Brolin.
