Michelle Randolph (1923) and Jimmy Tatro (American Vandal) are the newest additions to the Scream 7 cast. Kevin Williamson, the mastermind behind the Scream franchise and writer of Wes Craven's 1996 classic, is taking on directing duties. Meanwhile, Guy Busick, who co-wrote Scream (2022) and Scream VI, is handling the screenplay.

The returning cast includes Courteney Cox, Neve Campbell, Matthew Lillard, Scott Foley, David Arquette, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Mason Gooding. The film also stars franchise newcomers: Mckenna Grace, Joel McHale, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Anna Camp, Asa Germann, Ethan Embry, and Mark Consuelos. Plot details have been kept under wraps.

The 2022 Scream reboot's producers, James Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein, and William Sherak, are producing the film under the banner Project X Entertainment. Scream 7, currently in production in Atlanta, is slated for a February 27, 2026, release through Paramount Pictures.

Randolph's casting comes after her critically acclaimed role in the recent Paramount+ series Landman. This marks her first big feature film role. She is also currently appearing in the Yellowstone spin-off 1923.

Recognized for his lead roles in The Real Bros of Simi Valley and Home Economics, Tatro recently delivered a standout performance in Searchlight’s Theater Camp, where he also served as an executive producer. He recently returned for The Real Bros of Simi Valley: The Movie and will soon appear alongside Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon in Amazon Studios’ comedy You’re Cordially Invited. He also recently finished filming for the 20th Century action comedy Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice.
