
RLJE Films, the company behind Nicolas Cage's Mandy and David Ayer's The Tax Collector, has bought Neighbourhood Watch and Elle Fanning's Galveston, reports Variety. The film directed by Duncan Skiles stars Jack Quaid, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Malin Akerman.
The synopsis for the film is as follows: "Simon (Quaid), a young man grappling with mental illness, who becomes convinced that he has witnessed an abduction. When he reports it to the police and they refuse to believe him, he reluctantly seeks the help of his neighbour Ed (Morgan), a retired security guard with a troubled past. As two try to unravel the mystery, they are forced to confront the dark secrets surrounding the disappearance, as well as grapple with their issues."
Jack Quaid is known for his role as Hughie Campbell in Prime Video's The Boys. He is also known for his roles in Oppenheimer, The Hunger Games, and as Superman in My Adventures with Superman. He will be seen next in Novocaine. With characters like Negan in The Walking Dead and John Winchester in Supernatural, Jeffrey Dean Morgan has a long career in films and television series like Watchmen, Grey's Anatomy, and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. He also voices Conquest in Prime Video's Invincible. Malin Akerman, who starred in Watchmen alongside Morgan, is known for her roles in 27 Dresses and Billions.
RLJE Films is set to release Neighbourhood Watch in theatres on April 25, in the United States of America.
