Rebel Wilson’s Bride Hard, a high-energy wedding adventure with an action-packed twist, is set for a wide release in June. Directed by Simon West, known for The Expedanbles 2 and Con Air, the film hits theatres on June 20.
Rebel Wilson reunites with her Pitch Perfect co-star Anna Camp in Bride Hard, joined by an impressive ensemble cast. The lineup includes Anna Chlumsky (Inventing Anna, Veep), Oscar winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph (The Holdovers), Gigi Zumbado (Heart Eyes), Stephen Dorff (True Detective, The Righteous Gemstones), and Justin Hartley (Tracker, This Is Us).
Wilson stars as Sam, a secret agent facing her most challenging mission yet—ensuring her best friend (Camp) has the perfect destination wedding. However, when a group of mercenaries storms the celebration and takes the guests hostage, Sam is forced into action. She must secretly battle the intruders while keeping her cover intact and preventing the big day from turning into chaos. As the fight unfolds amidst the extravagant affair, she soon discovers that the real danger may be lurking closer than she ever expected.
Bob Yari, who is producing under Magenta Light Studios, assured that the film will be packed with comedy and "high-energy thrills" which will "entertain everyone that has ever attended a wedding."
The film was produced by Joel David Moore of Balcony 9 (Immaculate Room, Some Other Woman), alongside Colleen Camp (Above Suspicion), Cassian Elwes (The Butler), Max Osswald (Immaculate Room), and Jason Ross Jallet (Big Gold Brick).
