Cosmo Jarvis, who was seen recently in FX's Shogun (2024), is the latest to join the cast of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, reports Deadline. Jarvis joins the cast led by Matt Damon as Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, whose homecoming after the Trojan War forms the story of Homer's The Odyssey.
This is Nolan's second venture with Universal Pictures, following the highly acclaimed Oppenheimer, which starred Cillian Murphy in the titular role. Christopher Nolan and his wife Emma Thomas produce this film under their Syncopy banner.
The Odyssey is currently being filmed in Morocco. After Morocco, the production will move to Sicily, Italy. The Odyssey is slated for a July 17, 2026, release.
The film's cast also includes Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, Bennie Safdie, John Leguizamo, Himesh Patel, Elliot Page, Bill Irwin, Samantha Morton, Jesse Garcia, Will Yun Lee, Corey Hawkins, Mia Goth, Nick Tarabay, Jimmy Gonzales, Maurice Compte, Michael Vlamis, Iddo Goldberg, Rafi Gavron, and Shiloh Fernandes.
Cosmo Jarvis will be seen next in The Alto Knights, which stars Robert De Niro in dual roles. His upcoming projects also include Inside with Guy Pearce, Guy Ritchie's Wife and Dog, and Alex Garland's Warfare.
